Assam Black Tea With Rose - Batch 1/9

A full-bodied black tea layered with natural rose petals. The base is a classic Assam: malty, rounded, and strong enough to carry a splash of milk. Rose petals are folded in after sorting, and they soften the edges of the cup rather than perfume it. You taste the tea first, then a quiet floral finish.

The leaf comes from Halmari in the Brahmaputra Valley, one of Assam's most consistent gardens. At 116 metres, the valley's heat and humidity push the bushes hard through June, and that stress is what builds the thickness and malt that Assam is known for. This batch was plucked between 8 and 13 June 2026 and tinned within weeks of harvest.

How we brew it: one rounded teaspoon per cup, water just off the boil, three to four minutes. It takes milk and sugar well, and it holds its own without either. If you like a stronger cup, add more leaf rather than more time, because long steeps turn Assam bitter before they turn it strong.

Each tin belongs to a single numbered batch, with the garden, plucking window, and elevation printed on the label. When this batch runs out, the next one will taste slightly different, and we think that is the point.

Steep 1 teaspoon of leaves in 200ml of water at 85°C for 3 minutes. Re-steep up to 4 times for evolving flavor profiles.
