The Maison Kettle Company ("we", "us") operates maisonkettle.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Order information. When you buy from us we collect your name, billing and shipping address, email, phone number, and payment details. Payments are processed by Shopify Payments and its partners; we never see or store your full card number.

Account and marketing information. If you subscribe to our newsletter or create an account, we store your email and marketing preferences. You can unsubscribe from any email in one click.

Usage information. We use Google Analytics 4 and PostHog to understand how visitors use the site: pages viewed, products added to cart, purchases, approximate location, and device type. PostHog may record how a session interacts with the page (clicks, scrolling, form field focus, but never the text you type into payment or password fields) after you begin interacting with the site. We use this to fix problems and improve the store.

Messages. If you contact us by form, email, WhatsApp, or Instagram, we keep the correspondence so we can help you.

What we do with it

We use this information to fulfil orders, provide support, send marketing you asked for, prevent fraud, and improve the store. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

We share data with service providers who operate the store on our behalf: Shopify (hosting, payments, order management), our delivery partners (name, address, phone for shipping), Google and PostHog (analytics as above), and Meta/Instagram or WhatsApp when you contact us there. Each provider processes data under its own safeguards and our instructions.

Cookies

The site uses cookies for the cart, login, and analytics. Your browser can block or delete cookies; the cart may not work without essential ones.

Retention and your rights

We keep order records as long as tax law requires and marketing data until you unsubscribe. You may request a copy of your data or ask us to delete what we're not legally required to keep by writing to shop@maisonkettle.com. We reply within 30 days.

Changes

We'll post any changes to this policy on this page with a new effective date.
