Our version keeps the tradition intact: a clean green tea base, real saffron threads, cardamom, and cinnamon. The cup is warm, lightly sweet, and golden in the pot, with the saffron arriving on the finish.

The green tea base comes from Chamraj Tea Estate in the Nilgiris, at around 7,200 feet. This batch was put together between 2 and 7 May 2026, just after the spring green tea harvest it is built on.

How we brew it: a teaspoon per cup, water at about 85 degrees, three to four minutes. The traditional serve adds a spoon of crushed almonds to the cup before pouring, and it is worth trying at least once. Sweeten with honey or sugar to taste; kahwa in Kashmir is rarely drunk plain.

Saffron is the most expensive ingredient in our catalogue, which is why this blend is tinned in small numbered batches with the source and blending window on the label. The base is a classic Assam: malty, rounded, and strong enough to carry a splash of milk. Rose petals are folded in after sorting, and they soften the edges of the cup rather than perfume it. You taste the tea first, then a quiet floral finish.

The leaf comes from Monabari Tea Garden near Biswanath in the Brahmaputra Valley, at around 325 feet. The valley's heat and humidity push the bushes hard through June, and that stress is what builds the thickness and malt that Assam is known for. This batch was plucked between 8 and 13 June 2026 and tinned within weeks of harvest.

How we brew it: one rounded teaspoon per cup, water just off the boil, three to four minutes. It takes milk and sugar well, and it holds its own without either. If you like a stronger cup, add more leaf rather than more time, because long steeps turn Assam bitter before they turn it strong.

Each tin belongs to a single numbered batch, with the garden, plucking window, and elevation printed on the label. Chamomile gives the cup its soft, honeyed body, and the lavender is measured with restraint, so it reads as a cool floral note rather than soap. The taste is gentle and settles quickly.

The chamomile comes from Luxmi Estate in Assam, at around 320 feet. Whole flowers matter here: crushed chamomile dust steeps fast and turns flat, while intact flower heads give up their character slowly and cleanly. This batch was harvested between 20 and 25 April 2026.

How we brew it: a generous tablespoon per cup, water at a full boil, five minutes with a lid on the cup so the aromatics stay in the water instead of the air. A little honey suits it. There is no caffeine, so steeping longer makes it deeper, not harsher.

Chamomile has been the after-dinner pot in half the world's kitchens for generations. The cup is light and bright, with the greenish, floral character the hills are famous for and a crisp finish that resets the palate. It asks for a little attention, and it rewards it.

This batch comes from Gopaldhara Tea Estate near Mirik, at around 6,800 feet. The cool March air at that elevation slows the bushes down, which concentrates aroma in the young leaf. Plucked between 24 and 29 March 2026, sorted by hand, and sealed while the spring character was still loud.

How we brew it: two grams per cup, water at 85 to 90 degrees rather than a full boil, about three minutes. No milk. A first flush this fresh is delicate, and boiling water flattens exactly the notes you paid for. If your first cup tastes thin, go up on leaf, not on temperature.

First flush is a seasonal tea in the truest sense. The scent comes from the flower sitting beside the leaf, night after night, and nothing else.

The base leaf is grown at Fujian Estate in Fujian, China, at around 2,360 feet. Fujian has scented tea with jasmine this way for centuries, layering fresh blossoms over the leaf in the evening when the flowers open, then removing them before the next round. This batch finished its scenting between 14 and 19 April 2026.

How we brew it: five to six pearls per cup, water at about 80 degrees, two to three minutes. Watching the pearls open is half the ritual.
